$10.00Football NFL - Green Bay Packers -3
Well its the day all Football fans love but hate….Super Bowl Sunday. It took 5 1/2 months to get to this point and it was great. Today is also sad because i’m not sure what to do with my weekends from now until next September. Today i like the Packers -2.5 and i think i will put $50 on it. Its 1:30 pm central time and the pregame show has already started for a 5:15 kickoff….
Ending a 56 hour week with a 12 pack of domestic beer..i will probably only make it through 5 of them. I am extremely tired an a little loopy from the alcohol. Some of my best work has been created while in this state of mind. I hope when i roll out of bed in the morning you all are still here. Sorry in advance of any impending offensive things that may get typed tonight.
Love
Uncle Chris
I am going to write something even if it’s pointless and has no meaning everyday from now until December 31st. Today is one of the pointless ones…

*Bitterly cold temps across the South and Mid-West
Its funny how people will just get out of their cars and chit chat with one another when they have to sit for more than 5 minuets. I like when traffic starts to move again and they all sprint back to their respective vehicles. Anyways be safe out there people.
On my second full run through of the new album “Mine Is Yours” by Cold War Kids as i am writing this. For those unfamiliar with this band they are one of the pioneers of what i like to refer to as “social media bands”. They were pretty much unknowns from Fullerton,Ca who got their big break by word of mouth through “Myspace” in late 2005. From this mass following on “Myspace” they were signed by Downtown Records and released the award winning album “Cowards and Robbers” in the fall of 2006. In 2007 they hit the road with this album and i was lucky to see them perform on a hot Friday afternoon at Bonnaroo. “Mine Is Yours” is their 3rd full length studio release. The first thing i noticed when listening to it is how much the band has mellowed or matured from the “Robber and Coward” days. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing as i have mellowed and matured as well. I don’t think they are capable of reproducing the genius that that poured into that first album but “Mine is Yours” holds it own. The run time of the album is 43 min and 21 seconds it has 11 tracks. A couple that grabbed me on the 1st listen were the title track “Mine is Yours” , “Skip the Charades” , “Cold toes on the cold floor”. My favorite track on the whole album is “Royal Blue” great vocals. This band is built on strong song writing and this album is another testament to why the took all of us by storm in 2006. So log onto iTunes/Zune and download it. Also look for Cold War Kids at all the festivals this spring and summer. They are already confirmed for Coachella and i am almost positive they will be at Bonnaroo again. To my friends in Tennessee you can catch them 3-28-11 at The Cannery Ballroom in Nashville,Tn. I give the album 3 knuckle’s out of four!!!!!
